JKYDF conference On “Youth For Revival Of The Prosperity Of Kashmir”

A one-day Conference on “Youth for revival of the prosperity of Kashmir” was organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Youth Development Forum (a major youth organization of Kashmir)in collaboration with Peace and Justice Forum today at Town Hall kunzar Barmulla , conference was attended by a large number of people representing youth and educated members of civil society including lawyers, journalists and doctors.

The seminar was focused on role of youth for devlopment and destruction of democratic set up in the valley as a result of violence perpetuated by Pakistan backed secessionist elements and the ways to redeem the situation. The speakers while deliberating on the current situation in the valley said that for the last two decades Kashmir has been engulfed in violence sponsored by secessionist leaders backed by Pakistan’s ISI. The violence has thrown entire life in Kashmir into turmoil with business activities including tourism, the backbone of states’ economy coming to a standstill.

The major development projects in Road, Power, Health, Tourism, Agriculture, Horticulture, Skill Development Sectors etc. are already under various stages of implementation. Many flagship schemes including the individual beneficiary centric schemes are being proactively implemented by the Government of India towards development of J&K .

“In Jammu and Kashmir, the work of establishing connectivity, irrigation, hospitals, tourism-related schemes and institutions of higher education like IIT, IIM, AIIMS is also going speedily.” said the Advocate Sajid Sofi during his speach in the seminar

“Jammu and kashmir is a very beautiful place with lots of potential. The central government is moving towards with its goal to develop the region. I am in politics for the last 20 years and had not witnessed such type of development within five to six months. The speed of the developmental activities has increased manifold,” said Mushtaq Ahmad  a political activist of Srinagar.

On the occasion more than hundred intellectuals , doctors , trade leaders , students , political ,social activities including Advocate Sajid Hussain , Dr Riyaz Hyder , Journalist Ajaz Ahmad , Er Ghulam Qadir , former Director Ab Aziz participated in seminar and in a single voice demands to center govt for restore of statehood to J&K and also demands world bodies to pressurise Pakistan to stop sending terrorists in Kashmir and negative propaganda against India on social media.
