Health is a basic human right. JKYDF wants to ensure that everybody has access to quality health care. Especially women and youth in fragile conflict- and violence-affected settings (FCVAS), where access or availability of such services is not a given. We are committed to increase access to sexual and reproductive health services for youth and vulnerable people, like HIV-affected persons. We contribute to more adequate and more affordable health care services through result-based financing. We address individual and collective trauma in post-disaster and conflict-affected settings where psychosocial support is a precondition or traumatized people to rebuild their lives. JKYDF providing services of healthcare and medical education for the poor and needy in J&K /Ladakh from last 11 years . More than 40% population in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh are living below the poverty line due to which they are unable to undergo proper health treatment if they experience any disease.” Estimated amount of surgery backlog in J&K is in Crores every year. JKYDF also working in the field of rehabilitation for alcoholics and drug addicts. We are an ‘In-House Rehabilitation Centre’, which provides supportive environment to a person who has got a problem of chemical dependency. We help restore hope, healing, and health to people affected by addiction to alcohol and other drugs based on the 5 step recovery program. JKYDF helping the alcoholics/addicts to create a drug free society and lead responsible life”.
